Poultry Nutrition Blackbelt - #7 - Hammermill Screen Selection and the Particle Size of Soybean Meal

the poultry nutrition blackbelt Aug 02, 2023

Reducing the particle size of feed ingredients requires significant energy expenditure. When it comes to research on the subject, corn and wheat have been considered in most studies, but there is limited investigation on soybean meal. With that in mind, in this episode, Dr. John Boney discusses two studies he worked on about hammermill screen selection for soybean processing and its effects on soybean meal particle size, feed milling efficiency, and pullet and broiler performance.
