Dr.  Shakerii's team explores an innovative approach, focusing on the enzyme Ribonucleotide Reductase (RnR), responsible for controlling mitochondria. By understanding RnR's potential role in DNA synthesis and its impact on mitochondria, they aim to find a solution to this age-old problem.
