Cainan Florentino, DVM, PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota, is originally from Brazil, where he earned his veterinary degree before joining the University of Minnesota.  His research focuses on understanding hyperketonemia and its effects on fresh cows and improving the transition of dairy cows to the dry-off phase.
