Meet the guest:
Dr. Steven Lommel is the Director of the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service and a William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor at North Carolina State University. He also serves as Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. He has been instrumental in developing the Plant Sciences Initiative, a multidisciplinary enterprise that partners with government agencies and the private sector. Dr. Lommel has published over 100 peer-reviewed works. He holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from UC Berkeley.
