Dr. Mary-Louise Penrith, an Independent Veterinary Professional and former Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria, has spent her career advancing animal health through practical diagnostics and biosecurity. With a BSc and PhD in Zoology from the University of Cape Town and a DSc in Entomology from the University of Pretoria, she later pursued a BVSc in Veterinary Science, also at Pretoria.
